The Grand Palace

Known in Thai as Wat Phra Kaew, the Grand Palace is one of the most visited attractions in Bangkok. Built in 1782 and featuring extraordinary craftsmanship highlighted by 100 beautifully colored buildings, stunning mosaics, and spires made of gold, it was the former home of the king and his court. Sites to see include the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Royal Thai Decoration and Coin Pavilion, galleries, and the giant demon statues.
