Wat Arun, Temple of the Dawn

Located on Bangkok's Chao Phraya River, the River of Kings, Wat Arun is known as the Temple of the Dawn. This classic landmark features a majestic 79-metre-high tower adorned with ceramic tiles and pieces of colorful porcelain. The tower is enveloped by four smaller towers, which boast statues of Phra Phai (the God of Wind). Visitors will be greeted at the entrance by two mythical giants, similar to the ones found at the Grand Palace.
