Wat Pho, Reclining Buddha Temple

The largest Wat (Buddhist temple) in Bangkok, Wat Pho draws many tourists who come to see its very large reclining Buddha statue, which is 46 metres long and 15 meters high. It is also renowned for having more than 1000 other Buddha statues, most of which came from Ayuthaya and Sukhothai, former capital cities. What's more, Wat Pho features a big bot (temple hall) that's surrounded by nearly 400 bronze Buddha statues.


Hours - Open daily from 8.00 to 17.00. It is closed for lunch from 12.00 to 13.00.
